Contorsions

“Between photography and 3D sculpture, this series explores the body as ornament. Contorted figures become decorative motifs, transformed into relief friezes wrapped around digitally crafted vases. Printed and re-photographed like archival remnants, the rendered objects are placed beside the original bodies that generated them, creating a tension between the tangible and the artificial. What began as a visual research into the boundary between reality and fiction ultimately became a reflection on the body’s transformation into object, surface, and decoration.”
